Well first off, Higurashi actually has a plotline and ther are reasons for the voiolence. in my opinion’, happy tree friends doesnt seem entertaining to me.its pointless violence in my opinion.

I don’t particularly watch Anime specificallu but why are you telling people to “grow up”? Some of it is intended for a purely adult audience and as such a lot of it contains adult themes and a plot not unlike any traditional film or TV series. I think it is you that need to mature a bit if you think that if something is animated it is automatically marketed towards children and immature adults. Go watch Grave of the Firefly’s.
