    To the one who says he/she hates expectations, the President only wants whats best for students. Without expectations, students are clueless. Someone has to guide them, this speech as how I understand it , was meant to show the President’s perspective on how American students should perform. We are falling behind therefore something like this was truly necessary.

    Just because you were brought up in fucking Candyland with rich ass parents does not mean that there are not other people in the country who were not as fortunate to have support through school, let alone both of their parents. This is the second part of the speech as well, you might have missed the first part where he encourages kids with less fortunate circumstances then your snobby ass. Grow up kid, check your attitude. That shit is going to get you nowhere.

    Well I hear all of you guys putting down your president and saying he doesn’t know what he is talking about but, I am an Australian and I wish we had a leader like him. It is about time that he told children the facts. Everyone is responsible for their own future and the future of your country and the world. To quit and say this is all too hard is easy. Toughen up and get on with it, change your life. Educate yourself.

    Haha.. Umm Well lets see im in highschool, Im very smart im an athlete and i have a full ride to go to college as a junior.. Yeah obama doesn’t know what he is saying.. and nether do you.. I don’t know one kid whose parents don’t care about there schooling… and the only reason i have gotten where i am is because of my parents pushing me to reach the best

    The man been in office for 8 months. I remember when he first got in people were saying he wouldnt do enough. Now their saying he is doing too much. Just to have something negative to say…..But if Bush or Mccain had there old rinkle selfs up there giving a speech on EDUCATION, it would not be an issue. Man America, we are a real sick country and we need to help each other and stop worrying about everyone else.

    I laugh at republicans who find anything wrong with this speech. Not all but some of them are real desperate to get him out of office and have something negative to say about him. Is it because he is black, or democrat? Its sad. America we are a sick country because everything our ancestors fought for, we try to take that away with our racism. Its sad.

    It’s amazing the ignorance some people in this country have.Just because you don’t necessarily agree with everything someone else does doesn’t mean you should deny them your support especially if they’re our president. It was a speech on education, it had nothing to do with God or killing babies. It was meant as a means for motivation and support, simple as that. No hidden agenda’s to brainwash kids and the such. Other Presidents have spoken before so why not Obama? some of you need to grow up
