The man claims that the working class underachieve simply and only because they commit more crime, sleep around more, and are more lazy then the middle class. I could list the faults with that argument, but I’d be typing all night.
If you know of any of his papers or books that actually state anything reliable and valid I’d be genuinely interested to know
By the way, I agree with your post about degrees, the most intellegent people I know have recieced little formal education.

I don’t think that is what he is arguing. It might be useful to have a less narrow view of education. You can obtain an education without it being in pursuit of the paper called a BA, which indicates little about what you actually know in many cases. Murray believes that each individual student should be allowed to shape his education around his/her intellectual abilities. No BA does not mean no education and no rise in intellectual capacity.

The Bell Curve did not make the argument you are making here. It is a statistical fact, as the book argues, that there are group IQ differences that have significant impact on social policy when keeping socioeconomic status and other variables constant. At the individual level, IQ loses its value significantly. And ones race does not inherently imply IQ level x. Thousands of years of evolution produced certain group differences. Its not “lifting oneself up,” its acknowledged fact.

The only reason people in the US allow Black people to lie about involvement in ancient Egypt is because the real people responsible are Arabs. The only group more unpopular than the African-Americans.

I suppose I should have distinguished between the “Arabs” as speakers of the language Arabic (which you are right arrived in that area far later) and the pre-existing Hamito-semitic group that inhabited Egypt from biblical times (very much related to the arabs genetically though). Whichever way you look at my friend, Black people should really stop talking about Egypt and try and find something else to feel proud of. I’m sure there is something.

I am finishing up a masters in engineering, moving on to a PhD.
Why so angry? Its not like I just blew the lid on a huge secret. I can see on my campus with my own two eyes. There are smart black people. I’ve met them in engineering. Most though are just idiots that major in mass comm, education, or business crap. I don’t know if its natural IQ or because hip-hop is an intellectual vacuum, but it is very apparent.

Cmon for all your pontification about your position and status vis-a-vis black people, let us in on your own individual skills. Did you invent anything, patent anything? have you established a company? what degrees do you have and did you finish any Doctorate? Affirmitive action does not count. These are 1st and 2nd generation blacks. You should not be getting Affirmitive action especially if you have no genetic contact to past United States discrimination.

There has never been any evidence to suggest significant black involvement in ancient Egypt except as a pool for slavery.

Does it make you feel good to lift yourself up by telling yourself that you are naturally smarter than others because of your race? To think that jst because your race you are more intelligent than another…dont you see the error in that thinking? If you were born black, would you accept this philosphy. What’s sad is many people deem themselves so “smart” yet their actions say otherwise. I think that a person isn’t intelligent if they can allow themselves to think in a box as this thinking is.
