Nick F asked:

I am an American interested in doing an access to higher education course so that I can eventually earn my LL.B. I am looking for a college with good, affordable access courses coupled with dormitories or affordable, close accommodation.
let me point out that I mean college as defined in the UK, not in the US. I am looking for a COLLEGE in the UK, specifically England.

Have a look on the UCAS (Universities & Colleges Admissions Service) site, you should be able to pinpoint the specific answer you require there…

If you mean colleges aimed at 16-18 year olds, then you’re not going to find one with accommodation. We don’t have that sort of system.

Post 18 is university, and these are the places that have halls of residences (not dormitories- we don’t have dorms anywhere but boarding school)

You won’t be entitled to any financial help, so accommodation would be hard to afford unless you’re wealthy already. I would suggest staying where you are for now, then coming to the UK for uni if you still want to be here.
