There is profit in all effort. My main focus with my mom is keeping her involved with life giving enjoyment (music, Sing-alongs has helped with speech. Assisting her in maintaining skills that she has which has led to her regaining some apparent lost skills. She has lived in nursing homes, and is now with me and is benefiting so much. I believe living is nursing home was good for both of us because there is a greater appreciation for being home.

The best thing you can do to prolong their life is spend time with them. Music seems to work for my Mom. It seems that music keeps the mind working.

Has anyone lese tried Colostrinin (also known as Cognase in Europe and Cognisure in the US)?

It is an element of Colostrum that can halt AD and can be taken as a Nutraceutical currently. It can halt plaque and Tau apparently

Well there is a reson for everthing !! So why are all these people getting Alzhemiers ? it was said years ago when very few people got this that aluminum was the cause, now they are putting that in the skys with chemtrails, and its in the flu shots so now back to my question I wonder, why so many people are getting this >?

It is the thing country songs are made for :)

My Dad died last year and the full front of my mother’s disease wasn’t known to me until that time. She can’t even work a phone now (when given to her she can’t talk – doesn’t know how). I live 1,000 miles away so don’t see them often. It killed him because of his heart and she doesn’t know who I am.
thank you for putting your thoughts into song.

My mom was pretty young when she got it. She was only 53 when she was officially diagnosed with it by the doctor but by then it was to late. I would say she started acting funny around age 51. In to her 5th year my mom is showing signs of soon to be bed ridden.

I hope they find a cure someday

My grandmother just got diagnosed with this. I saw the signs years ago, but didnt think it would turn into full fledged AD.

So now im researching to bring things for a better understanding to prepare for present and future. I have to admit, coming on Youtube and hearing other ppls real life stories and circumstances is really heartbreaking.

Best wishes to u all! :)

Being a caregiver is the hardest thing in the world. I can honestly say I didn’t see much sunlight for more than 2 years until i got someone to help me

I was guilty of not taking care of myself and crashed hard. Fortnately, my sisters have picked up the responsiblity but God, why can’t they find a cure for this? It is devastating and I am so sorry for anyone who has to live through it.

    May God Bless You All.

If anyone would have told me my family would be in this shape, ten years ago, I would have called them a fool. Well folks, it is very real and nobody can know the pain this past few years has been. Thanks for showing your support and remember to care for yourself, because if not you may end up sick, like I was. Then you are no good to anyone.

  20. showcasemerchandise Says:

My mother has been diagnosed for over 2 years now and we can’t even talk to eachother for fear of all the anger and confusion. My father has been her care giver and I know he is so tired. Since I seem to trigger her anger, it is best for her and I to remain seperate. It breaks my heart not to see them and today is my Father’s birthday. It hurts so bad to not be free to call him today.

I think it would be interesting if old people got anti-Alzheimer’s disease where they slowly began to recover other people’s lost memories.

The Support Groups, Memory Club and Graduate’s Club with the Alzheimer’s Association, really saved my life, and my husband’s life. His group all have it, and while they are together having fun, actually getting therapy, my group, the Care Giver’s group, …don’t know how to describe. We cry, and talk and share. I wasn’t making it without them. You people who share here, are amazing. I feel less alone. No one, understands this overwhelming, protracted nightmare. I’m helpless to stop it.

  25. tdiscbetween Says:
